Peiter “Mudge” Zatko is the new head of security for Twitter after the “popular” security breach of the biggest accounts in the platform. The unknown group of hackers, were requesting money through the big accounts ensuring the followers to double their money, as a giveaway. Besides the fact that most of the “Crypto” companies are warning their users about the “Giveaway Scam”, someone of them were caught in the trap and lost their money.

Zatko, better known as Mudge, is an expert at network security, open source programming and of course at hacking. “Mudge” was also one of the most popular members of L0pth and Cult of the Dead Cow teams, that played a significant role at the US Senate’s internet security, against hacking.

Peiter Zatko stated that he is ready to take care of any “hacking” threats against Twitter that might happen in the future:

Looks like the cat is out of the bag.

I’m very excited to be joining the executive team at Twitter!

I truly believe in the mission of (equitably) serving the public conversation.

I will do my best!

Besides his action with the US Government back in 1998, Mudge was also involved with Google and DARPA. Recently though he was also hired by Stripe, an American online payment processing company for internet businesses, as the leader of the maintaining security. It is more than clear that no one could ever dispute his extremely strong experience in the field of Cybersecurity and not only!
