Bitcoin price nears $60K while Crypto Market Cap breaks new ATH record
The total Cryptocurrency Market Cap was closer than ever to $1.9 Trillion marking a new ATH record as Bitcoin price jumped above $59K remaining only a few inches away from the coveted $60K.
The past few days BTC was struggling to remain above $55K having many consecutive drops. However the King of Cryptos proved once again that only a few hours can change the momentum radically.
On Monday morning, Bitcoin managed to escape the resistance line of $57K and jumped above $59,500. However, the primary cryptocurrency could not manage to hold the resistance line of $59K and dropped at $57,700.
The alternative coins mimicked Bitcoin’s price movement and followed the bullish race on the north side. As a result, $150 Billion were added in the total market capitalization in less than 24 hours for a new record of $1.83 trillion.
Altcoins: Binace Coin explodes above $300
Ethereum followed the bullish momentum and reclaimed $1,900 price tag where it currently trades. However, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency could not manage to remain above $1,900 and has retraced slightly at $1,870 where it currently trades.
The rest of the altcoins are mostly in green with some of the most important coins slightly increasing their value. Litecoin has increased its value by 0.5% and remains above $195. Similarly, Polkadot ($34) and THETA ($13) are up by 3% each.
All eyes are on Binance Coin as the currency won the title of the best performer leading the price above $300.
Not forget to mention, that the total market capitalization has been increased by $500 million in just two weeks breaking its own record of $1.83 trillion.
